The Statement

FVCK GENRES came to life when LNY TNZ uploaded a track to SoundCloud in 2013. At the time, SoundCloud required a 'genre' to be added, but LNY TNZ couldn’t find one that fit.

The track wasn’t quite hardstyle, it had trap and halftime influences, which hadn’t been done before. People were still stuck thinking inside the box, so we decided to fill in 'FVCK GENRES' as the genre. It worked! SoundCloud approved it, and the track went live.

From then on, LNY TNZ embraced this statement and began labeling his tracks as FVCK GENRES. Known for blending hard dance with crossover energy, LNY TNZ is passionate about pushing boundaries and bridging the gap between hard-hitting EDM and mainstream music. He’s always been driven by the motto ‘FVCK GENRES,’ because not all music fits into a box: FVCK GENRES, it’s music!

The Label

LNY TNZ had been experimenting with various musical influences within the harder styles of dance music for a long time, which made it sometimes difficult to pitch new tracks to labels.

While many labels were impressed by the tracks, saw the great reactions from the crowd during live shows, and noticed top DJs in the scene playing them, they still struggled with categorizing the music. Feedback often suggested that the tracks needed significant adjustments to fit within a label's standard sound. This was the moment for LNY TNZ to start his own label, which, of course, was named: FVCK GENRES!

The goal of the label is to give artists complete artistic freedom, without the pressure to create music that other labels or fans expect from them, because at the end of the day, it's all about having fun.

Live Events

FVCK GENRES has already hosted successful club and festival takeovers in Belgium, China, Germany, the Netherlands, and the United States. These events bring together top artists from the label while giving local talent a chance to share the stage.

From stunning visuals and immersive light shows to special effects, exclusive merch, and giveaways, every element is thoughtfully curated to create an unforgettable experience!

The Artworks

FVCK GENRES is committed to involving artists in the creative process of their artwork. Unlike many labels that opt for cost-saving standard templates or AI-generated designs, we work with a talented illustrator. In collaboration with the label and the artist, we bring ideas to life through hand-drawn designs, resulting in a one-of-a-kind artwork!

From sketch...

The concept for the artwork is shaped by the artist's input. Based on this, a style and design are selected. Hand-drawn sketches are made, and once everyone is happy with the result, the design is turned into a digital illustration.

After the hand-drawn illustration is digitized, we select a color palette that aligns with the vibe of the artwork and the music. We make sure the design pops on digital platforms while also looking great on physical items like t-shirts.
